I uploaded the example to Mediafire which you can download here. but it depends on what you want to be in the screenshot. None of that "add these to a group and make that group invisible" etc. It gets simpler if you're only working with one layer, I think you would just have to take the screenshot and paste it to the Surface Object. This assumes you're working with multiple layers and only want to take a screenshot of one particular layer to make an object out of. You make the objects on the layers you aren't copying invisible for a moment, tell the Screen Capture Object to take a screenshot of the frame area, then tell it to paste the clipboard to the Surface object and, as they say, "voila!" The Surface object has a lot of the same functionality as a regular Active object - you can assign it alterable values, changes its position, do collision detection, rotate it, and so on and so forth. mfa on layer 1 is in group "1", everything on layer 2 is group "2" etc.).

You have to make every object on a given layer part of the same group/category (it doesn't really matter what the group is, but for simplicity's sake everything in my. This was an intriguing question and I had some ideas on how that might work, so I opened up MMF2 and the answer is: yes, you can, kind of, if you use the Screen Capture Object and the Surface Object. A user on Reddit asked if it was possible to copy a game's layer in Clickteam Fusion and then paste that screenshot as its own separate object.
